The Scott Arms is open every day for lunch and dinner and our menus champion ingredients from local suppliers across Purbeck, Dorset and the South West. This enables our experienced kitchen staff to create a tempting selection of locally sourced, seasonal specials alongside our pub favourites, incl. bangers and mash, burgers, seafood snacks and salads.
Food for all seasons
We strive to be an advocate for Purbeck’s freshest, most responsibly sourced, seasonal produce year-round and a sustainable way for people to enjoy the new Scott Arms experience; whether it be from The Scott Estate farms or valued partners. Expect game on the menu (such as Scott Estate Venison) and hearty, warming vegetable soups in the winter, fresh seafood in the summer and plenty of locally-grown vegetables and salads. And don’t miss our al fresco barbecues in the garden when The Shak gets fired up in the summer.

We have plenty of room in the pub, both inside and out, but it can get very busy during the peak season, bank holidays and at weekends. To avoid disappointment we recommend that you make a reservation.

The Scott Arms is one Dorset pub that you’ll always find great beers and lagers, including tempting guest craft ales along with our permanent ales from breweries here in the south west. Whether dining or just quaffing, we offer an interesting range of wines to suit all pockets and, like all good hosts, we have full range of spirits including many from local distilleries.
Put some cider inside yer
We have a freehouse service for ciders at the Scott Arms which means we are free to sell any ciders outside of the remit of our brewery license. We have therefore teamed up with local cider producer, Purbeck Cider, to sell a range of their fabulous Character Cider. From single variety and vintage ciders through to berry cider and perry, you can sample the genuine taste of single-pressed British apples from some of Dorset’s traditional orchards
Drink in the view
If it’s winter you’ll be enjoying a warming whisky or a glass of mulled cider in front of one of our three open fires. In summer you’ll be in the garden, enjoying a refreshing lager or locally brewed cider as you drink in the view of Corfe Castle. Either way, the Scott Arms has a drink for every occasion, including a nice cuppa when the mood takes you.

We’re up on the hill, we have a late night music license and our nearest neighbour is usually on the dancefloor with us – it’s a perfect time and place for a party, indoors or out. We’ve hosted all sorts of music at the Scott Arms: rock & roll, rhythm & blues, punk rockabilly, country trash, garage rock – and that’s just the Hightown Crows! We have regular dance nights from the Funky Lemonade posse which are always a sell out, barn dances, jazz nights, country folk and folky crew, soloists, bands and open mic nights.

We’re very proud to be a dog friendly pub
We love dogs at the Scott Arms and there’s plenty of dog bowls and tasty treats in all the bars. All well behaved pooches are welcome and there’s plenty of room to find a quiet corner if your furry friend prefers some peace and quiet. And in the summer, your dog will love the garden, where they can sniff away to their heart’s content.
A perfect location
Whether you have a dog or not, the Scott Arms is perfectly located in the centre of Purbeck’s Walking Country. There are treks through woods and fields, along clifftops and valleys and down to old caves and secret bays.
