We pride ourselves on delivering decent, uncomplicated and delicious food in a relaxed and friendly setting. Whether you are joining us for lunch or dinner, we have a mouth-watering range of dishes to satisfy every palate and preference.
Landlord Rupert Scott is an experienced chef and, although he doesn’t interfere too much in the kitchen these days, he works with our head chef to regularly update the menu. Using local suppliers wherever possible and only sourcing the very best seasonal ingredients, The Coppleridge aims to deliver a dining experience such that you (and your friends and family) will return again and again.

With four cosy dining rooms to choose from year-round, plus a terrace made for long summer evenings, dining at The Coppleridge is always relaxed and unhurried. Whether it’s lunch, dinner or a get-together with friends and family, we’re here to make every occasion feel special—parties, weddings, or simply a good meal shared.
We encourage our guests to book online whenever possible, especially for larger parties and celebrations. It’s quick, easy and allows our staff to concentrate on what they do best – serving you.

We’ll always aim to offer a range of seasonal dishes alongside our typical menu. We wouldn’t be a countryside pub unless we offered game pie and stews in the winter or locally-grown vegetables and salad in summer. Wherever possible we always aim to source fresh, seasonal produce from local suppliers: not only does it help support our farmers but you know you’re eating the very best of Dorset.
We serve our popular Sunday roasts throughout the year – we’re a popular destination for people looking to get outdoors at the weekend so you are advised to always make a reservation.

Our menus change on a regular (often daily) basis, dependent on the time of year, what’s in season and how adventurous our chefs are feeling. Plenty of rooms at the inn
Whether you’re dining alone or as a couple, in a family group or as part of a larger celebration, The Coppleridge has plenty of choices for your visit.
As well as the various nooks and corners of the pub itself, we have a dedicated Restaurant area where you can expect table service. The Restaurant seats around 30 people and can be hired for private events, as can the Garden Room located at the rear of the pub. Overlooking the garden and patios, the Garden Room is perfect for small private events of up to 40 people.
And then there’s the garden itself. With two large terraces and plenty of other tables, there’s ample room in the garden to enjoy the warmer weather.
